Carolyn has led companies at the forefront of SaaS technology innovation in real-time digital communications, mobile, AI data and security analytics. She founded companies, managed new growth-oriented software technology business units and helped navigate organizations through 6 profitable evolutions or exits (IPO, M&A, privatization and large-scale divisional spin-offs). Specialty in accelerating unchartered, disruptive technologies and turning them into market leaders. A capital infuser, Carolyn has raised $50+ million over multiple rounds in four different companies.

As CEO, Carolyn recently sold LiveSafe to Vector Solutions after transforming the business to a mobile enterprise technology and data platform company. The first company to use employee data to assess risk, LiveSafe became a leading mobile risk intelligence solution for safety and security incident prevention, response, and communication. Raised $20M in two rounds, recruited board members, world-renowned investors and leaders including Fred Smith of FedEx, Eve Burton of Hearst, Steve Case of Rise of the Rest. Achieved 10X ARR growth and user growth from 500K to 5M+.

Carolyn was a co-founder of Gravy Analytics, a location-based data intelligence and mobile marketing analytics platform, the first to market offline consumer behavior as an analytics dashboard product. Raised $15M+ across 3 rounds and grew company from start up to market leader.

Recruited to the C Suite at Deltek as EVP of Sales and General Manager by private equity, Carolyn was responsible for $100M+ P&L, grew revenue by over 300%, contributing to a successful IPO. Owned new organic, M&A and partner growth; 3 acquisitions folded into offerings, 15+ solutions added to sales mix across 22,000 customers, millions of users in over 80 countries.

She is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at HearstLab working with founders on strategy, growth and execution and supporting HearstLab executives on investment pipeline.
