As founder and president of award-winning VARCom Solutions, a D.C. area-based marketing, public relations and management consulting firm, Danny has made an impressionable mark in business and the community.
Danny is a regular contributor to national media, speaking on topics ranging from business to politics, international affairs, and more. He brings his considerable public relations, speaking and media skills to bear in all his efforts.
Danny was an executive at AOL, first as Vice President of Global Sales for Voice Services, and later as Vice President of Latin America. Previously, Danny was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Americas for France Telecom’s carrier division, where he developed and executed their U.S. market penetration plan and led the organization to reach a $100 million annual run rate within eight months of launch. Danny joined France Telecom after six years at Global One, where as director of Corporate and Carrier Sales for the Americas Region, he generated over $140 million in revenue in 1999.
Before joining Global One, Danny worked for Raytheon Company playing a key role in expanding their business in the areas of training, operations and intelligence analysis support to the federal government. Danny served seven years in the U.S. Air Force, including five years in Panama, where he supervised airborne reconnaissance missions, routinely reporting on matters of national security.
Active in politics and the community, he was appointed by Virginia’s governor to chair the Virginia Board of Workforce Development. He served as Chairman of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce and sits on the board of the Northern Virginia Chamber.
He was a candidate for the Virginia House of Delegate and endorsed by the Washington Post where they called him “one of the region’s more impressive first-time candidates for the House of Delegates in recent memory.” He was appointed by Congress to a commission studying the creation of an American Latino Museum within the Smithsonian Institution and is now the Chairman of the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino, which advances the efforts to create the museum. He serves on a commission to study and promote economic opportunities for struggling families in Virginia and is on the Northern Virginia Regional Council “GO Virginia” initiative. He previously served on the board of directors of Northern Virginia Family Service.
