The updated roadmap outlines a bold vision to position Northern Virginia as a global hub for next-generation technologies across four priority industry clusters: Computer Services, Cybersecurity, Life Sciences, and Emerging Technologies.

Accelerate product-based innovation to drive scalable growth to complement the region's strong services base.
Create targeted pathways for public sector employees and veterans to transition into private sector roles in the region’s key industries.
Foster stronger regional coordination among NoVa's local jurisdictions and across the Greater Washington metro to align strategic priorities and build complementary strengths in next-generation technologies.
Lisa Shapiro, Managing Director of the Northern Regional Council said, “By leveraging our existing strengths, aligning our resources and efforts around these key industry clusters, we will drive sustainable, high-wage job creation and solidify our region’s status as a global leader in innovation while charting new areas of growth.” She added, “I am excited about several new initiatives in our region and look forward to seeing the impact the SciTech Campus Innovation District in Manassas will have.”
